The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be a health threat everywhere, including right here in our community. The City of Pelham and the Pelham Public Library are moving forward with a phased reopening plan and we must emphasize that you should put your health and safety first.
We are sanitizing our building and equipment in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Alabama Department of Public Health. Additionally, we are quarantine returned library items for 96 hours before allowing them to be checked out by another patron. We encourage you to continue to practice social distancing, good hand-washing hygiene, wear a mask per state ordinance, and stay home if you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19.
After reviewing Alabama’s Safer At Home Health Order, recommended library standards from the American Library Association and the CDC, and consulting with city medial advisors, first responders and the city’s leadership, the Pelham Public Library implemented its Phase One Reopening Plan Monday, June 1, 2020.
The library remains closed to the public, but with curbside pickup of materials and computer use by appointment.
Other services offered: Wireless printing, copy services, voter registration forms and/or absentee ballot applications, and personalized book selection.
Current Hours: Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-2PM
Beginning October 5th we will begin Phase 2 by offering inside service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will ream curbside only on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
