ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ~ This position involves providing administrative and clerical support to the Department Head. The Administrative Assistant monitors purchasing activities including bids, construction and development projects. This position also monitors state and federal grant-funded projects to ensure deadlines for reporting are met.
Candidates are required to possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a valid driver’s license. A Professional Secretary or Administrative Professional Certification is preferred, but not required. Applicants must satisfactorily pass a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen after receiving conditional offer of employment.
The starting compensation for this position is $41,412.00, depending on certification, training, and/or experience. The City of Pelham also offers an excellent benefits package.
