Group Fitness
Classes
Pelham Parks & Recreation offers many ways to stay fit, healthier, and active with group fitness. We offer cardio fitness, strength training, and mind and body wellness classes. Unlimited fitness classes are included with the cost of a rec center membership. Non-members must pay a small fee for each class attended. Memberships are available to Pelham residents and Pelham business owners/employees over the age of 19.
Important Class Information
- We ask that participants clean their equipment before and after usage.
- Classes are for ages 14 and up.
- Classes are geared for all fitness levels.

A low-impact, energizing workout that has proven to create long, lean, powerful muscles and increase flexibility. Classes include the use of the ballet barre, hand weights, resistance bands, and exercise balls. Exercises typically focus on small, pulsing movements with an emphasis on form, alignment, and core engagement. All levels are welcome and encouraged! We encourage participants to bring a mat and water. Tuesdays 5:30 p.m. - 6:35 p.m. & Fridays 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
A low-impact format that defines your entire body with an emphasis on the shoulders, arms, core, and glutes. For all fitness levels. We encourage participants to bring light hand weights, a mat, and water. Saturdays 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
This program is a High Intensity Interval Training also known as HIIT. We will be using our entire bodies stretching, cardio, weights and floor work at all levels. This program is designed for you to be successful. (45-55 minute class) We encourage participants to bring water and a hand towel. Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - 6:25 p.m.
What if we told you, you could get more flexibility, have fewer body aches, pains and get a better night's sleep? In-Trinity Warrior 1 is the class for you! During class, you can achieve these goals by simply elevating your workout up off the floor and onto one of our unique fitness boards. We will move through traditional Yoga stretches and Martial Arts agility sequences all while increasing lean muscle mass and building strong hearts. This class is for all fitness levels but space is limited. We encourage participants to bring light hand weights, a mat, and water. Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Pilates is a low impact class focused on mind-body exercises with an emphasis on core stability, strength, and flexibility. Exercises involve the whole body using slow and controlled movements to work the core stabilizing muscles of the body. Monday 7:15 a.m. -8:15 a.m.
This class will BUILD strong and lean muscles while incorporating "POWER" moves to help boost metabolism. Incorporates hand weights, balls and resistance bands. Come ready to feel the BURN and POWER up your fitness. Thursdays 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
This is a low-impact class because there is no jumping, no running, and no pounding on the joints. It is also high intensity so you should be prepared to sweat! In this one-hour class, you will perform fitness moves with and without weights, as well as, some floor work. After just a few classes participants can begin to see positive changes in their muscle tone, greater flexibility, and an increase in their balance. One of the best things about this class is that, while it was developed for the aging body to improve activities of daily living and prevent injury, it can be a change for anyone of any age. We encourage participants to bring light hand weights, a mat, and water. Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
This class is designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and improve activities for daily living. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. The class can be modified depending on the fitness level. Space will be limited. 65+ and no fee to attend the class. You must have a Silver Sneakers or Active Renew membership. We encourage participants to bring light hand weights and water. Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Class is open at no charge for Silver Sneakers, Active Renew and Rec Center members. Silver Sneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. We encourage participants to bring a mat and water. Tuesdays 10:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
This readily accessible vinyasa flow class mixes the power of physical yoga postures (asanas), deep breathing, and mindfulness to take you on a journey to open your heart, quiet your mind, and renew your spirit. All levels, all bodies, and all types are welcome. We encourage participants to bring a mat and water. Mondays 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class! Saturday 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
